Access to the ski mountaineering tours on 4000m peaks | Allalin and Strahlhorn
Vast glaciers and high mountains - on skis at over 4000 metres!
Ski touring and mountaineering on 4000 metre peaks is the best combination. It's simply fun to climb over the snow-covered glaciers at dawn, reach a proud summit and then glide back over the beautiful slopes and flat glaciers. In these 3 days, we will take you on two great ski mountaineering tours to over 4000 metres and show you what to look out for and how to behave on the glaciers and ski mountaineering tours. We meet in Saas-Fee and can immerse ourselves in the high mountain world straight away thanks to the cable cars. We start with a leisurely tour and look at the various roping techniques and rules of behaviour on the glacier. We spend two nights in the beautifully situated Britannia hut and from there climb the Allalinhorn and Strahlhorn. If conditions are good, we can ski down to the Mattmark reservoir after the Strahlhorn. A descent of around 2000 metres awaits us! From there we can take a taxi back to Saas Grund or Saas Fee.

- Area: Saas Fee - Allalinhorn - Strahlhorn
- Meeting point: 10.04 Saas Fee bus terminal (arrival of the bus)
- Conclusion: approx. 15.00 in Saas Fee
- Overnight stay: 2 x in the Britannia Hut
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Condition for ski tours with around 1000hm at a comfortable pace (~300hm/h).
- Condition for 1000m of descent in different types of snow.
- In addition, there are sections where we carry the skis and trudge through the snow.
- Splitboarders are welcome, provided they are experienced.
- You don't yet need any experience on alpine tours or on the glacier
Group size
Takes place with up to 6 guests per mountain guide.

- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
