Together we will create a foundation for future tours. In this high altitude course you have the opportunity to learn and apply the basics of mountaineering. We teach you how to rope up correctly, when crampons are useful and how to use them correctly. You will learn how to use the short rope on short passages in the rock and how to secure your climbing partner correctly at belays. You will also learn tricks and tips from our mountain guides, which will greatly enhance your learning process. Applied training is important to us, we want you to be able to develop further and consciously teach you meaningful content.

  • Course content

On the first day we will focus on rope handling on the rock. We will teach you ways of shortening the rope to suit your level. We will then move on to the topic of "short rope". We will work on the four stages of the "short rope" and apply some of the stages in a safe environment.
In the evening we will look together at the structures of professional tour planning. What information do I need, where can I get it and what is so important in good planning?

On the second day, we train our perception and look for dangers in the terrain, gaining our first experience in making decisions. This is what mountaineering is all about, making sensible decisions, "go or no go", "right or left", "dangerous or not dangerous".
In parallel, we will learn different crampon techniques in snow, ice and rock. We will abseil a short distance to gain experience here as well.

Before the end of the course, we will give each participant individual feedback. Where do you stand and what do you still need to achieve your wish or goal?
