First come first served.

  • Procedure and meeting place

    Day 1, Wednesday 19 July 2023
Meeting place Tschierva Hut 1600 hrs, can be discussed with Julian.

From Pontresina, you climb independently to the Tschierva hut. The trail leads easily through the Val Roseg up to the hut. The trail is signposted and not demanding, approx. 2.5h.

You will meet Julian, Bergschaft mountain guide, at the hut. Julian is very emphatic, he is very conscious about getting to know you and is happy to respond to your needs.

    Day 2, Thursday 20 July 2023
After the morning meal and before sunrise, we take the alpine hiking trail and the via ferrata up to Fuorcla Prievlusa. The scrambling and climbing begins, always with our goal for the day in sight. Via the Bianco ridge, the ascent takes us to Piz Bianco and then to Piz Bernina, another 4000-metre peak and the easternmost in the Alps to boot. The atmosphere is breathtaking and the scenery extremely beautiful.

The descent is considerably shorter and the Marco e Rosa Hut soon reached. The hut is at the foot of Piz Bernina and not far from the Bellavista terrace.

    Day 3, Friday 21 July 2023
Just like the day before, the day starts early. Our goal for the day, the crossing of Piz Palü, is via the Bellavista terrace. Nomen is omen, so we enjoy the magnificent view and continue climbing towards Piz Palü. The ridge becomes increasingly narrower and the air a little thinner again, but despite everything we reach the summit full of joy.
After a well-deserved break, we descend over the glacier towards Diavolezza, with the help of the Diavolezza mountain railway, down to the Bernina Pass.
