On the first day, we will provide you with the knowledge you need to climb independently and safely in a climbing garden. Deepen and consolidate your knowledge on the second day together with our mountain guides. Learn rock climbing with us and be inspired!

The sun-warmed rocks at the entrance to the Maggia Valley offer perfect conditions for this climbing course. What's more, the new Gotthard base tunnel means that the journey is much shorter. Climbing in Ticino: a weekend full of enjoyable climbing in a Mediterranean atmosphere that combines all the advantages. On the first day, we will teach you rock climbing from A to Z. Learn how to tie in correctly, how to use quickdraws, how to properly secure your climbing partner while climbing and also practise various rope manoeuvres such as "redirecting and threading". On the second day, you will have time to repeat, apply and consolidate what you have learnt under the supervision and with the support of our expert mountain guides

Course content
- Day 1
Rope and safety technology
- Rope handling by the belayer
- Rope handling of the climber
- Handling quickdraws: Hooking into the bolt, clipping the rope correctly
- Various clip options
- Knotology
- Partner check
- Deflection and threading
- Day 2
The focus is on consolidating and applying what you have learnt under the supervision of a mountain guide. They will support you and give you valuable tips on belaying techniques, rope handling and rock climbing in general. The following points will also be covered on this day: - Materials science

- Advantages and disadvantages of different equipment
- Product test: Test different products so that you can familiarise yourself with the differences and know what to look out for when buying them

Requirements
- You have learnt how to lead climb and belay in the hall and apply this.

- Stamina for short climbing tours with a leisurely ascent and descent
- You climb a 4c in the hall

- Takes place with up to 8 guests per mountain guide.
