Trek on the Selvaggio Blu

Highlights

The Selvaggio Blu (Wild Blue) is one of the most impressive and adventurous alpine treks in Europe. Not only because there are always long abseils and easy scrambling passages on the programme, but also because the coast is rugged and unspoilt and we hike from bay to bay and spend the night right by the sea! Thanks to luggage and food transport, we enjoy the stages with a light rucksack!

Journey

In the 1980s, the plan was to create an aesthetic route from Piedra Longa to Cala Sisine that would run as close as possible to the sea and the cliff. The result was the Selvaggio Blu with spectacular abseiling sections and varied, easy scrambling passages. We discover and walk this impressive path together and explore the landscape from bay to bay. We spend the night under the clear Sardinian sky, directly by the sea, in the beautiful blue bays. We cook together on the beach and enjoy the stars and being together. The equipment is comfortably transported from beach to beach by boat so that we are only travelling with our day packs. The climate is pleasantly warm with an average temperature of 25°C and the sea is still warm from the summer.

  • Tour destination & programme

We are travelling to Sardinia and start the tour from Santa Maria Navarrese. We are on the trek for 6 days and spend 5 nights in the bays. On the first night and the last night, we stay in a cosy hotel. The journey to and from Sardinia is individual. The shortest option is by direct flight on Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively, the ferry from Livorno, Italy to Olbia is also a good option (2x per day)
