During these two training days, we aim to prepare ourselves properly for the coming ski mountaineering season. We go on short ski mountaineering tours on which we apply techniques that are used on the "Haute Route's" and many other ski mountaineering tours. We mount the crampons, tie the skis to the rucksack and rope up. To gain experience and safety, we ski down a short and steep section with the support of a rope. You will also gain more experience with your own or other equipment. You will learn how to handle it better and become much more efficient in many areas. After these training days, you will be able to enjoy almost any high-altitude ski tour and will be ready for the Haute Route's

  • Venue & meeting point

    • We start by cable car from Urnerboden and climb via Gemsfairenstock to the Claridenhütte. On the second day, we cross the Claridenfirn to Clariden and return to Urnerboden.
    • We spend the night in the Claridenhütte
    • The meeting point is 9.00 am at Urnerboden, immediately after the bus arrives. If there are enough vehicles available, we will form car pools from Ziegelbrücke.
