The Monte Rosa massif is one of the largest glaciated mountains in the Swiss Alps. The jagged yet expansive glaciers are impressive and imposing. Perfect for exploring the massif on skis and gliding through the jagged glaciers on marvellous descents. During these days, we will undertake the most impressive tours in the area and also have our sights set on the Dufourspitze, the highest four-thousand metre peak in Switzerland. We deliberately take four days to climb the mountain in good conditions. We start with the mountain railway in Zermatt and immediately make a great descent via the Schwarztor and from there ascend to the Monte Rosa hut. From now on we have 3 days of touring ahead of us, which we can organise according to the conditions and our wishes. If everything goes perfectly, we first make a very impressive tour over the rugged twin glacier to the Castor. The ascent and descent through the many crevasse zones is impressive. Well acclimatised, we head up to the Dufourspitze on the third day. The tour leads on skis to the Silbersattel and from there with crampons to the main summit to the Madonna. The Zumsteinspitze is added for those with more stamina. A marvellous descent takes you back to the Monte Rosa hut. The glacier offers many downhill options and we spontaneously decide on the most suitable one. Now we have time to savour the experience and look back proudly on our joint achievement. On the last day we go on a wonderful tour to the Stockhorn, from where we ski over the wide glaciers to Zermatt. Depending on the snow conditions, we ski through the gorge to Furri or to the Riffelberg and from there take the cable car down. Enjoy great days of ski touring and ski mountaineering with us!
