Just above the fog on a ski tour in the Gauli area

The Gauli region is a marvellous high alpine ski touring paradise, ideal for four exciting days of ski touring. We start just before the Grimsel Pass and climb up to the Bächlitalhütte on the first day. On the second day, we head over the Obere Bächlilücke. This is equipped with ladders and chains and offers first alpine impressions and a little adventure. After a long descent, beautifully north-facing and with great slopes, we reach the Gaulisee and the Gaulihütte. We spend two nights here and choose the most beautiful tours in this basin. These all lead over impressive glaciers to perfect ski touring mountains with various downhill options. So we will look for a lonely mountain and the best possible downhill variants. On the last day we leave the Gauli area via the Rosenhorn and the large Rosenlouwig glacier. This is one of the best descents in the Alps! Across the crevasses, always north-facing and often powdery! Fantastic ski slopes over a distance of 2300 metres with various options! We arrive at the historic Hotel Rosenlaui. After refreshments and shared memories, we start our journey home by taxi, full of new memories and shared experiences. Four great and eventful days of ski touring together await us!
