lonely tracks in the ascent on a ski tour

We will spend two days together in the field and discuss, learn and apply as much as possible. All participants will have the opportunity to try things out for themselves, apply them and make supported decisions. We discuss and clarify the topics and open questions directly in the terrain in a practical way. You have already gained some experience on a ski tour and would like to expand and consolidate your knowledge of avalanche awareness and ski touring techniques. We learn and discuss the various ski touring topics according to the wishes of the participants:

  • PlanningWe learn in advance how to choose the right tour for the current avalanche situation and how to take possibilities and alternatives into account.
  • AscentWe look at the track system and how as much information as possible can be collected for the descent during the ascent
  • DepartureWhere is the best snow and where is it safe to ski? We combine the information from the ascent with decision-making tools to make the right decision on the individual slope. Organisation of the descent
  • Background knowledgeSnowpack structure, typical avalanche problems and their influence on decision making, avalanche search and rescue

We will spend the night in a hut in the middle of the mountains and enjoy two wonderful days of ski touring.

That's what our guests say:

  • Sarah Schwendener

I have attended everything from avalanche theory and deep snow technique courses to beginner touring courses at bergschaft. The courses were always well organised and the mountain guides imparted knowledge combined with fun. My first ski tour with bergschaft was simply breathtaking 😍Simon (König), our mountain guide, taught the theory in combination with the practical application very easily. It was the perfect opportunity for me to get to grips with touring and I always felt at ease. I am so enthusiastic about this experience that it will definitely not be my last ski tour!
