Would you also like to experience and discover the wonderful world of mountaineering? Climb across wide glaciers to beautiful mountain peaks, enjoy the morning atmosphere in the mountains and experience a little adventure together with mountain enthusiasts? This taster alpine tour is your introduction to alpine touring. We start off in a leisurely fashion and take the cable car up and hike to the idyllically situated Claridenhütte. Here we look at the techniques, tips and tricks for rock climbing and scrambling. On the second day, we climb the Claridenglescher, practise walking with crampons and marvel at the phenomena of the glacier. We climb to our summit "Gemsfairen" and enjoy the view of the Tödi and the Glarus Alps. The descent takes us back to the cable car.

Venue & meeting point
- Area: Claridenhütte, Glarus
- Meeting point: 9.16 a.m. in Linthal, onward journey in carpools or by Alpine taxi to Urnerboden
- Conclusion: approx. 15.00 on the Urnerboden
- Overnight stay: Claridenhütte
Requirements
- No previous experience is necessary.
- Experience in hiking and walking in pathless terrain is an advantage.
- Condition for high altitude tours with around 800hm ascent and descent at a comfortable pace (~300hm/h).
Group size
- Takes place with 3 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
